FEARLESS.  Just one trait which defines nominees for the Troy Perry Awards.  You can now nominate a young person in your community for the these awards, honoring and empowering visionary LGBTQ+ young people who are taking a stand against fear and declaring "We're not afraid anymore."

OUR PRIDE > OUR FUTURE is a Global Compassion Initiative  celebrating 50 years of social & spiritual activism and fearless courage through video, photos, stories, and interactive story mapping, taking us from the events preceding Stonewall to the struggles, challenges, victories and hope of today -- and for our community's future.

Threads of the Rainbow

Weaving together the stories of our tribe
and how we've been empowered
to accept, live & share
our authentic truth and power in our lives.
Today, we continue
to carry the torch
lit by Rev. Troy Perry
and speak our truth:

"We're not
afraid anymore."
OUR PRIDE . OUR ROOTS
Join us in making compassion a clear, luminous and
dynamic force in our polarized world.
We're partnering with the Charter for Compassion International in our initiatives.

The Charter for Compassion is a document created through the TED Prize that transcends religious, ideological, and national differences. Supported by leading thinkers from many traditions, the Charter activates the Golden Rule around the world.  Check it out
Charter for Compassion
Rainbow Advocacy (formerly Metropolitan Community Charities) was established in 1996, inspired by revolutionary Rev. Troy Perry, dedicated to Civil Rights, Social Action, and Advocacy, with the mission to support the LGBTQ community with local, national and global reach.

With a vision to accelerate a community-wide movement following the Stonewall uprising, Rev. Perry conceived the first Gay Pride Parade which has mobilized community-building worldwide for nearly 50 years.
